On Nov. 15, Captain America (Chris Evans) and the captain of the 2012 and 2016 winning U.S. women's Olympic gymnastic teams (Aly Raisman) got together for an adorable rescue puppy playdate. The A-listers seem to be familiar friends—or maybe more, judging by their posts about the playdate on Instagram. Raisman posted two videos on Twitter documenting the playdate between the furry friends. The first video was captioned "Dodger & Mylo play date," followed by a white heart emoji and a tag for Evans. The video featured the two pups playing as Evans told his dog to "be gentle, be gentle." The two humans are heard discussing how much bigger Evans' dog looks than Raisman's new puppy, and remarking on how cute the two are together.
In the second video, Evans is cradling Raisman's puppy like a baby. The actor is donning a sweater similar to the one he wore in Knives Out, which the internet collectively lost their minds over. The video is captioned "Best buds" with a tag for Evans and a smiley face emoji.
According to People, Evans also documented the occasion on his social media. "Dodger had a very energetic play date," he wrote, accompanying a video of the dogs running around outside. The other video showed Evans cuddling up to Mylo with the sarcastic caption, "Too bad his charm didn't work on me."
It's unclear if this puppy playdate was also a date for Evans and Raisman, but fans are eager to speculate. Over the summer, Evans had been linked to actor Lily James. However, she has reportedly since moved on to Dominic West. Raisman was dating hockey player Tim Schaller in 2018, but the couple has since broken up. This leaves both stars seemingly single. Time will tell if these two are romantically involved or really just friends.
